Baoying Shipping Guizhou Tour 2024

In the beautiful summer of August 2024, our colleagues from Baoying Shipping Company embarked on a unique journey to Guizhou.

Early in the morning, everyone gathered at the airport with excitement and anticipation. Though we work daily with the sea and ships, we were deeply curious about the mysterious inland land of Guizhou.

Day 1

After arriving in Guizhou, we checked into our hotel to adjust to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. A joyful group dinner followed, allowing us to experience the company’s care and collective pride.

Day 2

Our first stop was the Thousand Households Miao Village. Stepping into the village, we were greeted by the unique Miao architecture—rows of wooden stilted houses exuding ancient charm. Miao people, dressed in traditional attire, welcomed us warmly. We strolled through the village, enjoyed Miao song and dance performances, and immersed ourselves in the rich ethnic culture. By nightfall, the village lit up with countless twinkling lights, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Day 3

We visited Libo Small Seven Holes Scenic Area. The emerald-green lake and the ancient seven-arch bridge resembled a breathtaking painting. Walking along the stream, the murmuring water seemed to whisper ancient tales. Amidst this serene landscape, we shipping professionals momentarily forgot our busy routines and savored the tranquility.

Day 4

Next, we explored Huangguoshu Waterfall. The majestic cascade thundered down from great heights, leaving us in awe of nature’s grandeur. Standing on the viewing platform, even colleagues accustomed to roaring ocean waves were struck by the waterfall’s unique power. Many eagerly snapped photos to capture this breathtaking scene forever.

Day 5

We visited Qingyan Ancient Town, a Ming-Qing dynasty military stronghold in Huaxi District, Guiyang. Here, we sampled famous Guizhou delicacies: Qingyan Braised Pork Trotter (a whole trotter simmered in spiced broth), rose candy, chili chicken, rose jelly, glutinous rice porridge, and thornberry rice wine—each dish a feast for the taste buds.

Day 6
Our journey concluded as we reluctantly boarded our flight home. Through this trip, we not only marveled at Guizhou’s beauty but also strengthened friendships and team cohesion. It was an unforgettable experience, taking us from the ocean’s edge to inland landscapes, where we discovered a different world.
